The Psychedelic Art Exchange is extremely privileged to offer one of the rarest and most sought after Jimi Hendrix posters ever created! This cardboard poster was produced for a concert to be held at the Miami Jai Alai Fronton on September 21 1969. The show was cancelled and the bulk of the posters were destroyed. Our research reveals there are only three copies of this poster known to exist—in any condition!

The last known copy that traded publicly was sold at Christies in 2007 for $10 000. This original printing measures 14” x 22” and exhibits some flaws that technically prohibit us from certifying the poster as a Mint Condition example. We wish to describe these flaws in the most detail possible so that you can make an informed bid on this historic opportunity.

There is a 3” tape pull on the front upper right quadrant that partially removes ink from the letter “T” in Present and the “R” in Hendrix. A tiny tear measuring just over ¼ of an inch (11/32)” is present on the right edge 7” down from the top corner. There is a microscopic nick on the top edge that is 1 ½” from the left corner. Two½” tape stains are present in the middle on each edge. Additionally there are several instances of light creasing along the corners and sides. Since this poster is printed on cardboard and neutral in color the creases do not detract at all from the overall appearance of the poster.

The provenance of this poster is unquestionable and uncontested in any way. It has resided in the possession of just three men over the past 42 years. The poster was first held by a concert promoter in South Florida. From there the poster was directly handed down to 2 other family members. Thus this is the very opportunity the collecting community to acquire what is universally considered to be one of the most desirable Hendrix posters in existence.

It is often said that the opportunity to acquire a classic museum piece is even rarer than the collectible itself. Indeed this is clearly the case here. While this highly desirable and sought after poster has existed for 42 years it has never been offered for sale.

Until now.

As word leaked out to Hendrix collectors about this offering our phones have been ringing off the hook. Not just from collectors in the United States but from all over the world. Competition will be fierce and it will take a lot of heart to crown yourself the victor of this trophy. Whoever does come out on top will be adding a World Class Rarity to their collection and will be the sole dictator of the poster’s value and worth in the years to come. Good luck to all.
