This vintage Globe poster was created for the Atlanta Jazz Festival, organized by the Star Dome Travel Club, held at the Atlanta Hilton in June 1980. The list of performers included B.B. King, Bobby Bland, Dionne Warwick, and many more. From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010, Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians, circuses, drag races, and concert producers for bold, eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction, and when they do, they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
