Here we have an original poster from Washington DC produced for an early concert featuring the spectacular Dire Straits! The show was held at The Smith Center, on the campus of George Washington University on September 15th, 1979. This was part of the band's Communiqué Tour, promoting their second album of the same name, however the tour itself started in February - almost six months before the record was released. Dire Straits fronted by guitar wizard Mark Knopfler were one of the most popular bands during the late seventies and mid-eighties. This is the FIRST example of this relic we have ever auctioned!
