Ray Charles’ legacy is celebrated across the globe as one of the most important musicians of our time. His version of "Georgia on My Mind" was proclaimed the state song of Georgia. This flyer announced Charles' appearance at the Mosque Theatre in Richmond, Virginia on March 17th, 1962. The Raelettes (who sang backing vocals for Ray during this era) were also in the show and featured on the poster (spelled as "Raelets"), along with Betty Carter and Nipsey Russell. This is a very rare, early Ray Charles poster that will likely never surface again.
