The Goins Brothers were a foundational bluegrass act from eastern Kentucky. Led by Melvin and Ray Goins, the group emerged in the 1950s and became a respected name on the bluegrass circuit. This cardboard poster announced their third-annual bluegrass festival held at Archer Park in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Along with the Goins Brothers, the lineup notably boasted Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mt. Boys. Stanley was one of the most influential voices in bluegrass history. He began his career in the 1940s alongside his older brother, Carter, as The Stanley Brothers. Together, they helped define the "mountain style" of bluegrass—raw, emotional, and deeply tied to the traditions of Appalachian gospel and folk music. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought-after types of concert memorabilia ever known, and this is an incredibly rare SIGNED piece that will likely never be made available again for public auction.
