This rare poster announced Van Morrison playing at the Woodrose Ballroom in Deerfield, Massachusetts, in April 1970. The venue was a short-lived venture that only existed for one year. These shows took place relatively early in Morrison's growing career, right in between the two albums he released that year, Moondance and His Band and the Street Choir, his third and fourth studio albums.
From there, he created one of the most prolific and long-running solo careers of any of the 1960s performers. Morrison is known for his unique blend of blue-eyed soul, jazz, and R&B, and has created some of the music world's finest hits along the way. Although he has been known to be a mercurial live performer, when he was on his game, there was none finer. We at PAE LOVE Van the man!
