This classic Rick Griffin Avalon poster was the artist’s first contribution to the Family Dog series. This popular poster borrows from Michelangelo’s “The creation of Adam”. Griffin went on to create some of the most memorable posters of his time.
We are very pleased to present this finest graded CGC example to ever apppear at public auction. A 9.6 example previously realized $517 last year. The market for finest known material has picked up a lot since then.
