This uncommon handbill was designed for Fred McDowell, appearing at the Vulcan Gas Company in April 1969. A genuine Delta Blues singer, Mississippi Fred McDowell is considered by many music enthusiasts to be the first North Hill country blues artist to achieve widespread recognition for his work. Material for the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, Texas, is some of the most desirable and valuable in the entire genre of Psychedelic Concert art. Very few of these unique and fragile handbills remain available today in ANY condition. This handbill has NEVER appeared in our auction before!
