The Vulcan Gas Company was responsible for a wonderful series of concert posters that are very scarce and beautiful. They were produced in very low quantities and are therefore extremely popular with collectors, racing to acquire what little surviving examples of these issues surface!
This VG-3 poster titled “The Heart” was designed by the amazing one and only Gilbert Shelton. Shelton was the art director for the Vulcan along with Jim Franklin of Armadillo World Headquarters fame. Shelton went on to become one of the most well-known underground Comix artists of all time.
