The preeminent Ska and reggae band Toots and the Maytals took the stage at Austin’s Armadillo World Headquarters in December of 1978. This Jim Franklin portrait of Frederick Nathaniel "Toots" Hibbert is a lasting tribute to this late reggae star. Reggae had a large following in Austin because of their attitude of “Fight the Man”. Demand for Armadillo posters is currently at an all-time high, and we see this as just the early days in a long trend.
