This rare, uncommon original handbill was designed by underground comix artist Jim Franklin for a short-lived music venue in Dallas called The End of Cole. The design, called "Snot Box", is part of the VG (Vulcan Gas) series of concert material only because it mentions the venue in the image, and it was likely circulated in Austin, however the shows it promoted were to take place in Dallas. The Treeks, The Nazz and the Illinois Speed Press were on the bill. In the 60's and 70's, artist Jim Franklin was an underground cartoonist and poster designer for the Vulcan Gas Company and of course the legendary Armadillo World Headquarters.
