This poster was created for George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers appearing at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Texas on February 16th, 1980. The Armadillo World Headquarters opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premiere venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980. This legendary club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10-year tenure. The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere.
