Gentle Giant appeared at the Armadillo with Steeleye Span during May of 1973. The Armadillo World Headquarters opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premier venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980. This legendary club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10-year tenure. The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere.
