This poster was produced for An Afternoon of Folk Music at Big Sur featuring Joan Baez, Nancy Carlen, Malvina Reynolds, Mimi & Richard Farina and more. In its formative years, the Big Sur folk festival began as a series of workshops and impromptu sets by Joan Baez Mimi & Richard Fariña and some of their contemporaries. The site for the event was a gorgeous retreat that overlooked the sea, complete with baths and saunas for the folk artists to relax in after playing their sets.
