This vintage original one-sheet movie poster was produced to promote for the 1967 American International Pictures film "The Trip” featuring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Susan Strasberg and Bruce Dern. The movie was directed by Jack Nicholson and also showcased Mike Bloomfield & The Electric Flag on the soundtrack. This is the original one sheet poster that was factory folded into eighths and sent directly to cinemas for promotion as was standard practice for movie posters during this time.
The film had a huge cultural impact upon its release. Music by Gram Parsons and the International Submarine Band was also featured in the movie. This large sized poster was distributed to cinemas to promote the film showings and theaters were instructed to "immediately return the poster" back to the distributor afterwards (see bottom right edge of the poster).
Condition Details: Creases from being folded, tears, paper loss, pinholes, tape, some handling.
