Approximately seven months after The Family Dog was forced out of the Avalon Ballroom, Chet Helms opened up shop on the Great Highway. The site was at the former Edgewater Ballroom, part of the Playland at the Beach complex. Due to budget constraints, relatively few posters were produced for the shows at 660 Great Highway. Mostly handbills were used to promote those concerts. Here, the Grateful Dead played what was to be their last shows before their infamous Woodstock performance. This is a Dead poster that does not surface that often. Here is your chance!
