This vintage, original first printing poster embodies many of the central characters of the 1960s: The Hell’s Angels, The Merry Pranksters and Big Brother and the Holding Company. The Grateful Dead were also in attendance but do not appear on the poster. It also features one of the best poster designs of the 1960s, the back of a leather motorcycle jacket designed by Gut Terk, one of the Hell’s Angels. Read the colorful story about Gut here. The poster is featured in The Art of Rock book, plate #2.247. This poster seldom turns up in public auctions in ANY condition! The one you see here is the kind of poster that would appeal to new collectors as it is much more affordable than what the high grade mint examples command. A great opportunity!
Condition: Paper loss, pinholes, paper loss, tears, edgewear.
