This vintage original concert poster announced the Steve Miller Band appearing at D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) Constitution Hall in Washington, DC on October 19th, 1972. Steve Miller (aka "Gangster of Love") began his performing career in 1965 in Chicago when he formed the "Goldberg-Miller Blues Band", which morphed into the Steve Miller Blues Band, which he formed in San Francisco in 1967, and with many changes in his band personnel over the years, is still gigging today, 57 years later, leaving a very long trail of many hit tunes & albums! Steve Miller Band's debut LP "Children of the Future" was released in 1968 by Capitol Records and featured an electrified full-color cover created by Victor Moscoso. In 1972, the band's double album compilation "Anthology" was released, featuring 16 songs from the band's first six of seven albums.
