This cardboard poster promoted the original Funky Meters appearing at Tipitina's in New Orleans on December 28th, 1977. The classic funk band's original lineup consisted of Leo Nocentelli on guitar, Art Neville on keys, Zigaboo Modeliste on drums, and George Porter Jr. on bass. They are considered to be pioneers of the funk genre.
