This CGC Graded Handbill advertises Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin) appearing at Selland Arena in Fresno during spring of 1968. It features an image of a bird with Janis Joplin’s head, and if you didn’t know – the Grateful Dead’s "Bird Song" was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter a couple years later as a tribute right after her passing. Many collectors believe this is one of the great pieces of Janis concert art to EVER be created. The posters featuring the same art can trade for well over $5,000 in this same state of preservation. This uncommon handbill is a great way to acquire the same art for less than the poster would command.
