Presenting for the first time in our auction, this high quality condition, original cardboard concert poster advertising the legendary Miles Davis at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on April 23rd, 1988. Miles Davis is, and will always be, one of THE most iconic and influential names in music. Even material from his later years like this one remain rare and sought-after in the collectibles market.
From Kind of Blue to Bitches Brew, Davis would gain new ground during each decade and the 1980s were no different. His late 1980s album "Tutu" became one of the defining jazz albums of its decade and even attracted a younger, new audience. This 1988 poster from Los Angeles was from yet another era when Davis was again in top-form and breaking barriers in modern music.
