This original Postcard for an Iron Butterfly show at the Avalon with The Velvet Underground in support is a fan favorite. It is interesting that the Velvet Underground was not the headliner. We imagine that, at the time, Iron Butterfly was considered more of a draw. This show was just a week before the release of the band's best-selling album, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, which contained a 17-minute version of the title song.
