This scarce, original concert poster was produced to promote the Kickapoo Creek Music Festival held in Heyworth, Illinois on Memorial Day weekend 1970. Featured performers included blues legend B.B. King, Butterfield Blues Band, Canned Heat, Country Joe & The Fish, Dan Fogelberg, Delaney & Bonnie, REO Speedwagon, The Amboy Dukes, Uncle Meat and many more. This festival went down in Chicago's history as the area's version of Woodstock. Thousands attended and this poster is a rare relic from that era - appearing now for the first time in our auction!
