This original concert poster was designed by underground comix artist Skip Williamson to promote the appearances of Mountain, Litter, the Bob Seger System and more at the Aragon Ballroom on May 22nd, 1970. It is a relatively rare issue. Along with contemporaries like Robert Crumb and Jay Lynch, Skip Williamson helped shape the countercultural comic scene, producing irreverent, politically charged, and often controversial works. Aside from comix, Williamson contributed to various alternative publications, including Playboy, National Lampoon, and High Times. He left a lasting mark on the underground art world and pop culture at large.
