Jazz fusion and funk masters Spyro Gyra are announced on this magnificent concert poster, appearing at the Empire Theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond on Halloween 1982. The band's name comes from "Spirogyra", a genus of green algae, which band founder Jay Beckenstein learned about when he was in college. This Halloween concert happened during their tour supporting their 6th studio album "Incognito", released a month prior.
