This rare, original flyer announced Ike & Tina Turner's appearance at The Mosque in Richmond, Virginia on October 11th, 1970. Notably, the show was opened by Steel Mill, an early project of the great Bruce Springsteen! Steel Mill included Robbin Thompson, and future E Street Band members Danny Federici, Steven Van Zandt and drummer Vini Lopez.
The famous R&B Duo, Ike & Tina Turner, had appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show earlier that year which propelled them into mainstream success and a record deal with Liberty Records. They released their album "Come Together" in April of the same year, and their album "Workin' Together", which featured their legendary rendition of "Proud Mary", was released the month after this show.
