This One-of-a-kind, Original Performance Contract is from a recently discovered collection of promotional material centered around a one-time event held in Philadelphia in 1971. The collection includes original promotional materials once belonging to promoter William Kelly, the organizer of "Blues Bag One," a charity event for disadvantaged youth. The Allman Brothers headlined this once-in-a-lifetime blues jam. Kelley conceived of Blues Bag and, with the council of Duane Allman, booked a blues-heavy lineup of guitar virtuosos. The lineup included Luther Allison and Buddy Guy, featuring legendary bluesman Mississippi Fred McDowell and 22-year-old Bonnie Raitt.
This lot is the original contract for Buddy Guy to appear and perform at the event.
