Appearing for the first time in our auction is this RARE poster promoting The Clash appearing the Hollywood Palladium on October 11th, 1979. The Clash were without a doubt a major leader in the British punk rock and New Wave movements of the late seventies and early eighties. This show occurred just two months before the release of their seminal studio album, "London Calling" which hit number 9 on the British charts. The cover of the album was based on the cover of Elvis Presley's self-titled 1956 debut LP and became one of the best-known in the history of punk rock.
Condition: Pinholes, paper loss, creases, some tears.
