Greenwich Village's own Blues Project appears on this original cardboard poster advertising their appearances in the Village at Cafe Au Go Go for a run of shows beginning on June 3rd, 1966. The classic Blues Project lineup (with legendary keyboardist Al Kooper) disbanded the following year. The Cafe Au Go Go club in Greenwich Village has long history throughout the 1960s, ranging from Lenny Bruce in 1964 through an endless array of well known and popular musicians appearing there up until late 1970. The club also happened to be the first New York City concert venue to host the Grateful Dead. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known.
Condition Details: Date written over (Friday June 3) at top, paperloss, tape pulls, creases, scuffs.
