This small original poster/window card features The Yardbirds (during the early Eric Clapton era) as part of the July and August 1964 schedule for The Empire Ballroom in Torquay, England. Also on the schedule were The Kinks, very early in their career as well. Featured performers at the venue included The Pretty Things, Millie & The 5 Embers, Wayne Fontana, The Kinks, and prominently, The Yardbirds. Early Yardbirds material is highly sought after and requested frequently in our auctions. They were the breeding ground for some of the greatest modern Blues guitarists of all time. At various periods during their heyday, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page - three of the most iconic guitar players of the era - were once the gunslingers in the band! The is the FIRST example of this long lost relic to ever appear in our auction!
