This Rolling Stone issue from September 1969 features an article on the legendary Woodstock Festival with a cover photo by Baron Wolman. Baron Wolman began the music phase of his photographic career in 1967, as the very first photographer for the new Rolling Stone magazine. The significance of Rolling Stone Magazine as it relates to the music and culture of the 1960s is well known. The magazine was founded by Jan Wenner in 1967 and is still in publication today.
