1966 FD-11 Grass Roots Big Brother Avalon Ballroom Poster Extra Fine 65

Several of the lots in this auction, including this First Print FD-11, were consigned by a Bindweed Press employee who printed the poster. Bindweed was the source for many of the famous early San Francisco Dance Hall Posters. This copy of FD-11 was taken straight from the press and has remained in the original owner's possession for 59 years. Early Bindweed posters were printed on slightly thick textured vellum paper. 

Here is a real opportunity. This poster is the very first contribution to the Family Dog series by Victor Moscoso. The image features one of the famous Gargoyles that live atop Notre Dame De Paris. Early Family Dog posters are among the most sought after issues by collectors due to their ultra-low issue numbers and minuscule survival rates. 

Condition Details: Pinholes, heavy creases across top edge, top edge tears, tape residue on reverse.
