This RARE poster promoted the 2nd annual Bullfrog, a festival held just outside of Portland, Oregon for three days in August 1970. The festival boasted some notable headliners including Procol Harum and Eric Burdon & War. We have NEVER seen another of these issues surface, leading us to believe there are few out there. The opportunity to acquire another won't come along ANYTIME soon!
Procol Harum is a British rock band known for their unique fusion of rock, classical music, and progressive rock. The band was formed in London in 1967 and is perhaps best known for their iconic and timeless song, "A Whiter Shade of Pale," which was released in 1967 and remains one of the classic anthems of the 1960s. Eric Burdon's War was a musical crossover band that fused elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin rhythm, blues psychedelia and reggae. Other performers included Roxy, Deep Purple, Herbie Mann, and Jacob's Ladder.
Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. Handbills like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music-loving culture that produced them.
Condition: hard crease, pinholes, paint on the right edge.
