Appearing for the FIRST TIME in our auction - we've never seen another one of these posters! Ray Charles’ legacy is celebrated across the globe as one of the most important musicians of our time. His version of "Georgia on My Mind" was proclaimed the state song of Georgia. This first printing, historic specimen promotes a run of shows he performed at San Francisco's legendary Longshoreman's Hall in 1961. The Singing Raelettes (who sang backing vocals for Ray during this era) and Betty Carter were also in the show and featured on the poster (spelled as "Raelets"). This is a very rare, early Ray Charles poster that will likely never surface again. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known.

Condition: staining, fading bottom edge.
