This rare original poster advertised the great Jethro Tull playing at the Spectrum in Philadelphia on July 8th, 1970. Also featured are Ten Years After at the venue on July 16th, and the poster exhibits an image of lead singer and guitarist Alvin Lee saying "Dance". It was a very busy summer for Ten Years After, having just performed at the Atlanta International Pop Festival the week prior, among a long list of festivals they participated in that year. These Spectrum shows were also fairly early in Jethro Tull's decades-long career. They had released their third studio album "Benefit" just a few months prior to this Philadelphia event. This is a scarce original first printing poster that has never appeared in our auction before. Very few of these posters likely remain today!
Condition Details: tape, tape residue, tape pulls, surface residue, toning.
