This brilliant image of Jimi Hendrix is the most desirable and sought after poster of the entire Big O series. This Hendrix “Splash” by Australian artist Martin Sharpe is huge in size and power! Martin Sharp was a big contributor to the sixties art scene he is most notably recognized as the artist who created the cover of the classic Cream record “Disraeli Gears”. The image is based on a Linda McCartney photograph taken at the Rheingold Festival in Central Park NY July 1967.This original printing measures 36 13/16 ” x 38 ¾ ” The poster has ½” tear on the upper right side an 1/8” upper left corner bump and a 1/16” nick on the bottom left edge the poster also has tape residue on the reverse. There are no pinholes or restoration of any kind.
