This transparency was designed by noted poster artist Bob Schnepf in 1988 for Lightnin' Hopkins, "King of the Blues". It was used to create posters featuring the same image. Artist Bob Schnepf greatly contributed to several memorable images in the Family Dog series. After the Family Dog, he continued to design posters for other events, album covers, T-shirts, and book jackets. He also created a comic book for the band Canned Heat. Schnepf soon after adopted the first name "Raphael" and no longer goes by Bob, except in reference to his earlier work. During his later years, he developed an interest in airbrush and glass painting work and commercial art. He currently teaches art workshops in the Portland area.
