Helmet is an influential American alternative metal band formed in New York City in 1989 by frontman and guitarist Page Hamilton that gained prominence during the 1990s alternative rock and metal scene. Their 1992 album "Meantime" is considered a classic of the genre. This poster by artist Mike King was created to promote Helmet's appearance at The Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon on July 14th, 1997 with Melvins and Skeleton Key.

Material from the Pacific Northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It's hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. Telephone pole flyers like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music-loving culture that produced them.
