A Texas Dead poster designed by the great Austin Texas poster artist Micael Priest! His work graced the walls of the Armadillo for years. Grateful Dead Original Posters like this are why collectors are now rushing into the hobby. Amazing Psychedelic image. Legendary band. Famous venue. This was a great show in Dead history. The Scarlet-Fire opening the second set was memorable and has been a favorite in Deadlore for years. A fantastic poster of a fantastic show!

Artist Micael Priest got his start working with underground comix artist Jim Franklin years prior and he took over as art director of the Vulcan Gas Company after Gilbert Shelton moved to San Francisco. When the Vulcan closed and the Armadillo World Headquarters opened, Priest became a member of "The Armadillo Art Squad", designing posters for the venue regularly. His work in the Austin scene is legendary.
