This original concert poster was designed by underground comix artist Skip Williamson to promote the appearances of Mountain, Litter, and Bob Seger System and more at the Aragon Ballroom in July on May 22nd, 1970. It is a relatively rare issue that we have never offered in our auction until now!
Along with contemporaries like Robert Crumb and Jay Lynch, Skip Williamson helped shape the countercultural comic scene, producing irreverent, politically charged, and often controversial works. Aside from comix, Williamson contributed to various alternative publications, including Playboy, National Lampoon, and High Times. He left a lasting mark on the underground art world and pop culture at large.
