Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) is a tribute band that recreates the music of the Grateful Dead, known for their faithful interpretations of the legendary band's live performances. Formed in 1997 in Chicago, DSO takes a unique approach to their tribute by performing full setlists from specific Grateful Dead concerts, often playing the same instruments and using the same arrangements. This colorful issue promoted the band's two-night run at Toad's Place in New Haven, Connecticut in May 2005.
