People's Park in Berkeley is a historic park that gained prominence during the counterculture movement in the 1960s. Originally, it was a vacant lot owned by the University of California. In 1969, community members, including students and activists, took over the land to create a park for public use. This poster from 1981 was produced in an effort to save the park from destruction.
