This poster was produced for Bob Weir's solo appearance at the Armadillo World headquarters in Austin, Texas on April 27th, 1978. The Grateful Dead Co-Pilot released a solo record in early 1978 called "Heaven Help The Fool". During the spring he formed The Bob Weir Band, joined by future Grateful Dead keyboardist Brent Mydland. The following tour included this show at the historic Armadillo. Legendary Texas artist Guy Juke designed this beautiful issue.

The Armadillo World Headquarters opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premiere venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980. This legendary club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10-year tenure. The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere.
