This 1972 Official Warner Brothers Records promotional poster for Jerry Garcia's First Solo Album "Garcia" is featured in the Art Of Rock book as plate AOR-4.283 and this is the first example of this promo we have ever offered in our auction. This large sized poster was factory folded and sent to record stores to promote the Grateful Dead's frontman early in his solo career. Distribution of these early promotional posters was extremely limited, since they were primarily manufactured to promote LP's in record stores. After the success of American Beauty, Warner Brothers offered members of the Grateful Dead the opportunity to cut their own solo records, and Garcia was released around the same time as Bob Weir's Ace and Mickey Hart's Rolling Thunder.
Condition: Factory folds from original distribution to retail stores, handling, creases.
