A "Bill of Surpassing Excellence" indeed! This original poster boasted an unbelievable lineup of bands appearing at Chicago's Kinetic Playground throughout the winter of 1969. The Kinetic Playground was a short-lived nightclub located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. The club became a driving force rock venue hosting famous names like The Mothers of Invention and The Grateful Dead. Rock legends galore appear on this poster including The Dead, Led Zeppelin (misspelled), Jethro Tull, Jeff Beck, Buddy Rich, B.B. King, Paul Butterfield, John Mayall, and many more. Though we previously sold one example of the handbill, this is the first time this poster has appeared in our auction. Another example sold earlier this year in a public auction for $5,000.
