The BG-30 original handbill features three of the best bands of the era, along with an eye-arresting psychedelic design! The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was the hottest new rock act to book in 1966. Bill Graham and Chet Helms, respectively, booked the Chicago blues rock ensemble to headline the BG-3 and FD-3 shows at the Fillmore. The band also headlined the bill for the BG-30 run of shows at Winterland, supported by a scruffy group of Bay Area musicians who would later become the ambassadors of the San Francisco psychedelic scene: The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane.
