Presenting for the first time in our auction, this original first printing handbill created by artist Greg Irons for a run of shows with the Steve Miller Band, Yogi Phlegm, Nazgul and Clover at Pepperland in early September 1971. The legendary Pepperland was a short-lived venue in the Marin County town of San Rafael that produced a series of excellent posters & handbills in the early 1970s. Greg Irons was one of the great unsung heroes of the 1960s psychedelic art scene. Irons was a master underground comix, poster, and tattoo artist. His style was perfect for each of those mediums.
