This Steppenwolf issue promoted the band's stop at the Lisner Auditorium on the campus of George Washington University in Washington, D.C. on April 12th, 1979, a stop on their 1979 reunion tour. The Canadian band was one of the more successful bands of the era with huge paydays for the hits Born to be Wild and Magic Carpet Ride.
