The Western Front was a short-lived and relatively obscure rock club that opened in June of 1967 in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. The Western Front wasn't around long but still produced a handful of cool concert material. This original handbill was for a pair of October 1967 performances featuring Morning Glory and Indian Headband. Native American themes and images were popular motifs among residents of the Haight and this handbill clearly illustrates that reverence. The design was by a well known underground comix artist John Thompson, perhaps best known internationally for his fantastic illustrations for THE COSMIC TRIGGER book by Robert Anton Wilson.

Condition: tack hole in top center, light soiling / toning.
