This poster from December 1971 promoted a month's worth of shows at the Rainbow Theatre in London. Performers included Joan Baez, Melanie, and Frank Zappa. It should be noted that Zappa and The Mothers only played the first of the four shows scheduled, as the rest were canceled. The Rainbow Theatre in London has a rich history of incredible concerts, from Hendrix to Pink Floyd to Van Morrison to Zappa. Jimi Hendrix first burned a guitar onstage at the Rainbow in 1967, with the collusion of his manager Chas Chandler, and a journalist from NME. The Beach Boys' popular album "Live In London" was recorded there in 1968.
